“We stayed in this fabulous condo at the beautiful Kona Coast Resort. John made the process so easy for us, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurants in the downtown Kona area were fantastic! We ate at Sushi Cocoro three times for their delicious poke bowl. The resort has an outdoor restaurant with delicious coconut shrimp and the best Mai Tai on the Big Island. In fact, if you stick around on Sunday night, Ronnie V & the Family Band will treat you to original music to have with your Mai Tai. Our favorite tourist spots on the Big Island are Volcano National Park, the Sunset Luau at the Waikoloa Marriott, and Mauna Kea Observatory. For adventures, do not miss the Zodiac snorkeling and raft tour or a nice beach day at Mauna Kea Beach followed by a tour of a coffee plantation. This was the perfect 20th anniversary trip in perfect lodgings. If we visited Hawai’i again, we would return to Kona Coast Resort and the Big Island. Thank you, John! ”

“I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Kona Coast Resort twice over the past ten years—once with a group of four and another time with a fellow traveler—and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The condo is not only spotless and incredibly comfortable, but the resort itself offers so much, from a peaceful adults-only pool to on-site entertainment. We also made use of the gym and started our mornings with local coffee on the balcony, listening to the birds.

The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the ocean, grocery stores, and nearby resorts where we attended a luau. We were also a quick drive from the harbor for snorkeling excursions, and truly, nothing on the island ever felt too far away. One of the highlights of our trip was a breathtaking hike through a lava field to a secluded beach, where we spotted countless sea turtles in the water—an unforgettable experience.

I can’t recommend the Kona Coast Resort enough. John is an exceptional host who makes the booking process seamless and stress-free. This isn’t just a vacation rental—it’s a home away from home, a perfect retreat in paradise!”

“Wow!!!!” was our reaction when we opened the door to this beautiful, spacious condo! My husband and I took our three teen girls and their friend for a week at the Kona Coast, and John’s condo had plenty of space for everyone. The main bedroom was large and private, with an ensuite bathroom where we could get some time to ourselves. Two of the teens had the guest bedroom, and the other two camped out in the comfortable large living room on the sofas, and all of the girls shared the guest bathroom with no issues at all. The kitchen is fully stocked and even had a washer/dryer!

We spent our days at the pool or beach, hiking, shopping, exploring, having cocktails on the beautiful ocean view large balcony, and we had a blast on a zip line excursion, fishing trip, and helicopter volcano tour. John made the process so easy and gave us great insider tips. We created family memories we’ll always cherish. If you are thinking about staying at the Kona Coast and John’s condo, don’t hesitate - we will definitely be back! ”

“It was pure pleasure to stay at the Kona Coast Condo! The big Island of Hawaii is gorgeous, and we had a wonderful time on our vacation. The condo itself was everything promised and more than large enough for two adult couples, and the Kona Coast Resort is relaxing and so beautiful. We enjoyed the pools, snorkeling at local beaches, and hiking around in the natural trails and waterfalls. The restaurants provided a delicious selection of local fare. My favorite dish was the Ono (which means delicious!). What an enjoyable time, and John was a terrific person to work with, and you cannot beat the price, it would have cost us three times as much anywhere else on the Island!”

We had so much fun, and it was larger than expected, comfortable, well stocked, and super clean, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths – plenty of room for all 4 of us! The views and sunsets were incredible from the beautiful lanai balcony, and we lounged by the pool almost every afternoon after getting back from our island adventures! John was so nice to work with, and the transaction was smooth and simple. The Big Island was breathtaking, and the location is close to so many activities and beaches that took our breath away! We are still thinking about the yummy dishes at the local restaurants. A place like this goes for twice the price, so we truly appreciated John’s kindness in keeping the cost so reasonable.
